If part of the playback remit includes wanting to play DVDs I would
*strongly* recommend getting a FX5200 card. We know it works, you
don't want to make any more buying/driver mistakes, and your system
could do with a boost with it using a slower CPU. If you decide to
stick with your current hardware in the future (or even get a PVR-150
capture card, which I would also have recommended with a slow <1GHz
machine) you will be all set.

If you only want to use the very cheapest parts - frequently a false
economy - you have to expect problems along the way, and only copious
amounts of research (manufacturers websites/MythTV wiki/mailing list
archive/Google) and understanding what you are getting into will help
you out.

I'm guessing you didn't get your expected deluge of response to your
earlier question because it's been asked and answered many times
before on the list, and the FX5200 is nearly always the top
suggestion.
