[mythtv-users] mythcommflag + changing frame size = skip list time skew

I seem to be one of the very few unfortunates who have Comcast
interjecting commercials with different frame sizes (resolution) during
commercial breaks. You may remember me from such postings as:
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/188895
Now, with 0.20, things are MUCH improved! We're able to skip forward
through spot of differing frame sizes without crashing mythfrontend.
mythcommflag never crashes, and has been able to flag all digital
programs. However, the cut list gets skewed by those same segments of
different frame size.

In a recording, if the first commercial break(s) has no different frame
sizes, the skip is accurate. Starting with the first commercial break
with differing frame sizes, the commercial notice is accurate, but then
the skip list timing gets skewed by what seems to be the amount of time
of the segment with the different frame size. For example, if Comcast
interjects for 60 seconds during the commercial break, the commercial
skip doesn't skip the entire commercial set, but to a time which is
short by 60 seconds. From then on, the skip list is skewed by that time
amount. The next commercial will be announced 60 seconds early, and
would end 60 seconds early. Any additional segments of differing frame
size will cause this skew to accumulate.

I'm guessing there's nothing I can do to avoid this problem. Does
anyone else have this? Chris, is this an easy one to fix? Hopefully
you still have a few of my recordings.

Thanks,
Kevin
