[mythtv-users] LIST ETIQUETTE REMINDER: Snip your quotes

Since someone replied to a posting in which this was mentioned, and
didn't snip the request (the irony's deafening in here today ;-), it
seems like a good time to make it a separate thread.

WHEN REPLYING TO A MESSAGE on the mailing list, while you're encouraged
to quote and bottom-post, *please remember to trim down the quoted post
to only the part you're replying to*.

People's failure to do this is the number one reason why other people
say top posting is a better approach (it is not).

Have a heart: trim that part.

Traffic on the mailing list will be up greatly this month, as it always
is after an announcement.  EVen small annoyances add up fast, and the
people voted most likely to get annoyed over this sort of apparently
trivial thing are the people who've been doing it the longest... a
group that tracks fairly closely with The Developers -- a good group
not to annoy.
