My FC5 , x86_64 boxe does fine with 2 HD Tuner cards and
mythtv. I have x86_64 box set up as a firewall / print server / mythbackend
and I have a 2nd x86_64 box set up as my desktop. I have a HDTV monitor
set up as a 2nd screen on my desktop box and watch TV on the HDTV
monitor. My firewall / backend is a 3800+ and the Desktop is a 4600+.
Not sure how a 3000+ would work, but the boxes I have work fine.

My backend has several drives:
300gig ide
300gig ide
300gig sata
250gig ide
160gig ide
and they all work fine together.
