Yep, did that.  Doing it now says that no packages are marked for
upgrade or are obsolete.

have you run yum upgrade ( may have to do this from a
text mode console if X hangs ) and upgraded yet?

I run FC5 on 6  boxes and don't have this issue.
I use nvidia video mostly.
