Actually, at least with my 6200 box, it outputs what you tell it to
output, which can be HD or can be downconverted to S-Video. I'm not
currently, but plan on using this mainly for the SDTV digital channels
that I can't get through QAM, which is about the same quality I'd get
through analog cable anyway, and while I'm at it get the HDTV channels
as well. They won't be HD anymore, but they'll can be captured. It's a
digital(HD)->analog(SD)->digital(SD) solution, which sucks, but it is
the only solution that's available. I can switch inputs and use a
second cable box to actually watch the HD channels, and at least I can
capture the networks in HD with the A180 card.

Jeff.
