Do you have:

/usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so
/usr/lib/vlc/video_output/libglx_plugin.so
/usr/lib/opengl/xorg-x11/extensions/libglx.so
/usr/lib/opengl/nvidia/extensions/libglx.so

or similar? its a guess but it sound like they are missing?
