[mythtv-users] Myth + ubuntu + Via ME 6000 + hardware decoding

I have a VIA me 6000 mini itx motherboard that I am trying to get working
as a myth frontend box. The CPU isn't fast enough to decode an mpeg stream
so I am trying to get the hardware mpeg decoding working that is built
into the onboard CLE266 graphics card.

I am running ubuntu edgy so I am running the standard packages for X and
myth from edgy.

I am running the via driver and as far as I can tell the XvMC extensions
are beign loaded and running. And everything I have read suggests that the
standard X drivers should support mpeg decoding.

I have set mythfrontend Prefered MPEG decoder to via XvMC and deinterlace
to BOB.

My CPU sits at 100% why playing back tv shows so I suspect that
Mythfrontend is not using the via decoding hardware.

Any suggests on what to look at next?
