[mythtv-users] Best way to relocate a database?

Just got my first mythtv box (knoppmyth) setup and I managed to  
relocate my database by dumping the sql from the original machine,  
importing it on another MySQL machine, and then editing /etc/mythtv/ 
mysql.txt.  I was able to hack up /usr/share/mythtv/mythweb/includes/ 
db.php to reflect the changes.

What I'm wondering is if there's a more elegant way of doing this, or  
did I do it right?
