modprobe does in fact show that lirc_sir is using what appears to be IRQ
and port of COM1
I have the receiver on the 150 card working fine.
Whenever, I put an Irsend to the transmitter however, it comes up with
an error saying that the hardware cannot send or something like that.
It's kind of a pain to get the exact output but if you you think it will
help let me know and I will go over to my living room and get the info
and move it over to this comp and paste it into an e-mail for you.
In the meantime I will look into your suggestion about kernel sources.
