You need to hook up the dish tuner with s-video or composite, not the RF
output.  Then the hauppauge tuner isn't used and you will record
whatever is showing on the dish tuner.  You will also have to set up an
ir blaster to change channels on the dish tuner (or you will have to set
a timer on the dish tuner as well as the myth box, as I was doing for a
while as I was working on getting a working blaster).
