one should work fine.
There is something about the fact that the 5xxx series use keying
where the later cards use overlay, not sure how this might effect the
new GL stuff though, but some folks have opined that the 5xxx series
cards were better, at least for 0.19, than 6xxx or 7xxx cards. Check
the archives for these discussions.
But 5xxx PCIe cards are hard to find. I think a 5300 is a 5200 with a
PCIe interface, but they are rare.
As far as video memory I think 128MB would be more than adequate,
though more certainly couldn't hurt. A lot of people want quiet (ie:
fanless) cards as well, so that might be a factor for you.
I'd just go with whatever you can get the best deal on.
