[mythtv-users] Jarod C. Wilson's guide is gone !

Hmmm, I am confused.

The site www.wilsonet.com now points to some dude named Daniel J
Wilson's blog. It has posts as far back as July on the front page, but
none of his other links work. If the DNS entry for wilsonet.com posts
to this dude's blog, how does the svn link still point to Jarod's
repository?

My guess, Daniel J is Jarod's brother and he has taken down the myth
site and given the domain to his bro... they both talk about Seattle
as if that's where they are from and in a deadlink archived on Google,
Daniel's blog mentions WilsoNet Technologies which was what Jarod
called his company.

Jaord is supposedly writing a book on mythtv, it wouldn't surprise me
if the terms of his writing deal require him to take down the free
stuff so it adds value to the book. I am being a bit of a conspiracy
theorist here. If I am right, that sucks and is not quite in the
spirit of open source (provide information "free" then decide to take
it away so you can sell it...).

You can always use the wayback machine:
http://web.archive.org/web/20050321031353/www.wilsonet.com/mythtv/
BAM! Jarod's site is still available...

Thanks

Robin
