Well IIRC it's run all the mpeg's divx's and xvid's I've thrown at it. I've
never tried a wmv to the best of my knowledge. It also plays iso's and vobs

I think the best option would be suck and see.

And then write up your findings as a wiki entry ;-)

As far as I know there are no useful Internal command line options..

The instructions as to how to enable it are the same for changing any
command line options globally or for individual files as you would for
MythVideo just substitute "mplayer -xv blah blah ..." for "Internal".

Well your right it does do a bang up job at the "avi" and divx as I even 
thru a "wmv HD 1080i and it played that although it couldn't handle the 
bitrate as good as xine ie it stutter quiet a bit perhaps some h/w 
acceleration issues?? not sure so I added a para in the MythVideo Wiki 
to kick off some info about the new player..
