[mythtv-users] X11 output from internal player?

Hello,

I can't for the life of me get the ATI proprietary ATI drivers to give
me anything other than a b/w picture, nor take a custom modeline, so
I'm hoping to be able to use the standard open source ATI driver. Is
this actually possible?

I can play back captured mpeg streams using mplayer -vo x11, but using
mplayer -vo xv just gives a load of green junk (although I can see
that is is a mangled version of the mpeg) in a 1/6th height bar at the
top of the screen.

I compiled with --disable-xvmc & --disable-xv but now it tells me that
it is "Not compiled with any usable video output method".

So is there anyway to make it use x11, or alternatively to make Xv
work with the open source ati driver?

Thanks,

Thomas Hood
