But there is this:

muon][11:26:12 PM] ldd /usr/bin/mythfrontend | grep Xv
        libXv.so.1 => /usr/lib/libXv.so.1 (0xb696b000)
        libXvMCW.so.1 => /usr/lib/libXvMCW.so.1 (0xb695c000)
        libXvMC.so.1 => /usr/lib/libXvMC.so.1 (0xb6959000)

And the symlinks are all OK now.  And xine works fine with XvMC.
