Looks like there's a known bug with older GPUs where openGL applications
don't work with the newest nvidia driver (9629).  I don't think you posted
which GPU you had but if it was in the 4xxx series it likely got bitten.
They say it should be fixed in the next driver release.  Your other option
would be to install an older driver, which may or may not be difficult with
FC6 due to kernel changes in 2.6.18 (this is discussed a bit in the linked
thred).
