I am using 3 different HDTV cards and 2 pvr-150 cards, all with different
tuners and it would be useful to identify which card(tuner) a program was
recorded with. Some of the tuners are more sensitive and this sometimes
    affects the recording quality.

I would just like to know the 'cardid' for each of my recordings. Anyone else think
this would be useful or have suggestions?

I do. In general, I wish that both recorded and oldrecorded imported
basically -all- the data that they could from other tables (e.g.,
episode numbers & so forth) because it's -extremely- handy to have
that data available without manually adding extra rows & trying to
have the copy happen at exactly the right time. (Obviously, this is
for using the database to help in archiving/searching applications.)

In the particular case of tuners, I've occasionally wanted to know
which tuner recorded something to try to do fault isolation. I can
approximate that data by going "-v all" logging and grovelling the
logfiles, but it's hardly automated.

Note that I'm only arguing here for this info to be preserved in the
DB, not exposed in the UI. I figure anything that really needs this
information can use SQL or phpmyadmin to get it, without hairing up
the UI.

(I'm still running 0.18.1 for a while yet, so if they already preserve
more info than they do in that version, that'd be great, but I haven't
checked.)
