[mythtv-users] **BETA** theme available

To be honest, I had noticed the huge amount of ram mythfrontend was now
sucking... like 50% of my 512Mb available. Ah well! I still have about
130Mb usable for buffercache, which amounts to like 4 mins of TV. I can
live with that.

Here's the deal with ProjectGrayhem....
Updating the mythtvtalk.com theme page is a PITA for me so a while ago
I took the decision to only update my personal page for the time being
(www.juski.co.uk).
ProjectGrayhem and ProjectGrayhem-wide should both work with 0.20 now,
and have worked fine here for a while. Both are up to version 2.1
Back to blootube-wide then...
About the 'watch recordings' watermark - I'll be sorting that out as
soon as I can. Remember this is only a beta folks and stuff can
change.
And those screenshots.. maybe I should've said 'screengrabs' rather
than actual photos of the TV, but nevermind I got the jist.
Anyway - stuff in the next version of this *beta* will be:
1. the tacky 'hdd stack' will be replaced with a photo
2. it'll be more SVN friendly
I'm surprised that noboy has yet mentioned the amount of RAM this new
theme makes mythfrontend use - but I'll explain in advance that's
caused by the (comparatively) massive watermarks compared to other
themes. It certainly runs okay on my own frontend (512MB RAM running
X at 720x576 with a mangled DPI to display amorphically).
w.r.t. an OSD theme - I've toyed with the idea of such a thing, but
maintaining this little lot is more than enough for the time being
IMHO. Two themes was bad enough, but with this third and possibly a
4:3 version on the cards ... oof! I'll continue to sleep on it, okay?
;-)
Another idea I've toyed with is a skin for mythweb, but that's a whole
different kettle of ballgames.
Thanks for the feedback so far - it's all been invaluable.
Justin.
