Hello all,

I'm currently involved in an upgrade to HD on my myth box. Its a
single box that does backend/frontend duties. Current specs are, p4
3.2Ghz, 2GB RAM, GeForce 6600 VGA, onboard Intel Azalia audio which
will be used to pass through the digital audio to an external
processor.

Is it going to be a problem for me to play back HD while recording
multiple (upto 4) streams at the same time on that box. I'll be using
a couple of HDHomeruns to acquire HD content? The data rate even with
4 streams doesn't seem to be problem since its only 80 Mb/s which is
well within the capabilities of even a bad GigE interface. I don't
need to do any deinterlacing since I will have an external
deinterlacer.

If not, what sort of upgrade will I need to keep a single box? Is this
sort of thing impossible without splitting up backend and frontend
duties?

Thanks,
Ali
