Actually, the scheduler is running just fine.  The problem is that there 
are no programs on the available inputs, so Myth can't record them.  In 
other words, during the upgrade, you probably upgraded other 
"stuff"--including capture card drivers--that requires you change your 
backend setup.

My recommendation is to delete all video sources with the "Delete All" 
button, then delete all capture cards with the "Delete All" button (not 
just for this host, though). Once that's complete, recreate your capture 
cards, video sources, input connections, and channels.  (If you're in 
North America, make sure when you recreate your channels, you /only/ use 
the scan button for digital capture cards.  Generally, you should use 
the "Retrieve channels from listings provider" button, instead, for 
analog channels (and, definitely should do so if you're in North America).)
