Brad...I know you helped me on an earlier post and I thank you however,
I am tired of swimming upstream on this.

Just from the response I have had on this thread it's obvious that
MythTV is not intended for people like myself...having a STB really
makes 2-3 second channel changes an impossibility.

I came...I tried...I failed.  In some way it was my fault to think that
MythTV was something that it's not.  I should have came on here and done
an in depth study on current usage patterns instead of relying on the
media.

I have left an e-mail with one of the developers in case someone wants
to start work on making channel changing speeds faster.

Even though my Myth box is no longer capable of watching LiveTV because
of how it's plugged into my receiver, I may use it once in a while to
catch the odd show when I am away from home...so it still is a part of
my entertainment system.

Anyway...maybe one day things will work out for me as far as MythTV is
concerned.
