Me too. I thought I was the only one!

This, I haven't seen.
While I overall prefer the discrete instant-skip options MythTV offers
to TiVo's sole, hidden 30-second skip, I certainly wouldn't mind a
fast forward/rewind process that's as smooth and elegant as TiVo's.
