No, the player does not have any external dependencies such as codecs, 
as it does not use windows codecs.
It should be a 'copy and run' procedure. At least, that is the intention :)

Many bugs have been corrected since 0.1a, including many things that 
could explain the behavior you write.
Please try the new version and write me it works or not.
