I've tried the default resolution created by the driver....  Never 
thought to reduce the resolution in xorg.conf....  I think it defaults 
to 1600x1200, but the most my monitor will do is 1280x1024.

I've tried versions old 7xxx, current 8xxx, and beta 9xxx.
