From what you're describing, it sounds like the easiest option for you
would be to move the files to the share, then create symlinks to them in
your Recordings directory.  This way they'll remain available in Myth
and, if you have "deletes follow symlinks" enabled, you'll be able to
delete/expire them as normal.
