Only after I made a link from ~/.lircrc to .mythtv/lircrc would it work for 
me. The output of 'ls -l':

lrwxrwxrwx 1 mythtv mythtv 27 Sep 15 
18:29 .lircrc -> /home/mythtv/.mythtv/lircrc

This should be a single long line, but my mail prog is an ass.
