Depending on your brand TV, it's sometimes possible to use power-strip
to generate a 1-1 pixel mapping mode for the TV. I have a sony
KDF-E50A10 that I was able to get 1-1 pixel mapping on it. It ended up
being some goofy resolution like1260 x 688, but it's been great. I can
use the TV like a monitor for browsing and so forth without having to
worry about overscaning. I got the info from avsforum. There are
dozens if not hundreds of diifferent Tv models there.
