[mythtv-users] Nova-t SAA7146 with frontend l64781, kernel problems >2.6.11

I have no idea why I get this problem.

 

I have a nova-t with the Phillips SAA7146 tuner and the l64781 as the
front-end. I am running FC4. If I use the 2.6.11 kernel, i.e. the original
which came with FC4 I can tune all channels.

 

If however I use any kernel greater than 2.6.11 I can tune all channels bar
the mux64 ones. I.e. if I try and tune channel 5 it fails. 

 

To recap

 

2.6.11, tune channel 5 works fine, tune bbc1 works

> 2.6.11 tune channel 5, fails, tune bbc1 works.

 

Now I find that very odd, it is something I noticed about ¾ of a year ago
but never got round to investigating and every kernel since has had the same
problem.

 

Does anyone have any ideas?
