And so did you, ironically break that rule in posting about it.

I think the issue is that enough people here are guilty of it that it
deserves to be said on the list.

Not to mention that the list itself does not make it terribly easy to
send direct replies.  If and when it's decided that far too many
messages going to the list should be direct replies I will be the first
to welcome the undoing of the Reply-To munging.
