[mythtv-users] cannot switch favorite channels

Switching channels with the slash key stopped working and I cannot figure out 
why.

I even removed the mythconverg database and created an empty one. I marked my 
favourite channels with * using the ? key and the asterisk is shown in the 
program guide. 

But the "/" key does not switch channels. It does nothing. When pressed, 
MythTV stops the sound and picture for 1 second, and then picture and sound 
resume on the same channel.

I can switch channels by entering direct channel number.
