First of all, I apologize for posting my last message
twice (I don't
know how/why that happened).

Anyway, thanks Tom Lichti & Hansa for your
suggestions. The hostname
has not changed since we started this project over a
year ago. We've
always used "mythserver" to designate this box and we
have been working
with another box that we are calling "mythfront"
although it has been
shut down while we are trying to get this to work.
Hansa suggested that
I post the contents of my httpd-error.log and
mysql.err file. I did not
find those, exactly, but I did find files in /var/log
called
"mysqld.log" and in /var/log/httpd called "error_log"
and "error_log.1"
which I have copied into this message. Following
that, I have pasted in
the contents of my mythbackend.log file. I don't know
why there are
lines that say "running as slave backend" since it
should be a master
backend. Could this be important? Also, the SQL
errors surely look
important to me. If they can be fixed without a
re-installation, that
would be great, but if I need to install again, I
think that the
database needs to be fixed anyway. As I stated in my
earlier message.
We did a fresh install and then restored our old
database and I think we
restored the problem with it. So here are the
files...As always, thank
you all for your assistance!
