I had a similar problem this week, although I did not see the "Canceled
recording" message. My wife's recording of General Hospital (remember
the WAF) has not worked since Monday. After poking around a little, it
seems that the program data describing the show has reverted to a
general description of the soap opera, as opposed to a description of
the events of a particular episode. Mythtv decided based on it's
algorithm that this show must be a duplicate that is already recorded
and therefore did not record it again.
I changed the setting to never check for a duplicate. Hopefully that
will work. I will find out when I get home from work today.
