[mythtv-users] Lirc saa7134 HELP

I have a cheap saa7134 based board on my myth box and am trying to set up
LIRC
Box is running FC4

I have done the cat /proc/bus/input/devices and found H: Handlers=kbd event2
I then tried
Iirecord -H dev/input -d /dev/input/event2

Irrecord starts and asks for a key to be pressed and held. I then get an
error
gap not found, can't continue

I am unsure how to proceed.

An interesting note is that some buttons on the remote produce keyboard
output (outside of irrecord)
When I press the number "8" it acts like an up arrow, the "ent" button has
the same effect as pressing enter on the keyboard.
So I know the remote and IRrx are working.
The remote has the code FM7130 printed on it.
