[mythtv-users] use "Watch Recordings" to see a home video

I have a couple of home movies on my desktop in DVD format.
That is, with AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS directories.

These are not burned on DVD media (any more).

They used to be on DVD discs but the kids got their
sticky fingers on them and you know the rest ...

I want to keep these home movies on (in) MythTV so they
are easy to manage and view.

Assuming that I have the directory structure:
|--movie1
...|--AUDIO_TS
...|--VIDEO_TS

Can I keep this as is and somehow make it just
another one of my MythTV recorded shows?

So anyone can watch it as long as they know how to "Watch Recordings".

How do I import movie1 as a recording?
