[mythtv-users] where do the channel icons go? backend or frontend?

hi, just a quick question.  i have downloaded all icons I want using
mythalsig (thank you Steve Boddy!), and they are now in
/home/mythtv/.mythtv/logos/[de|uk]/... on the backend.

I have restarted the backend, but there are no logos shown in the osd,
nor in the epg.

should the logos go in the frontend?  what else could I check in order
to make it work?
