I am happy that you have achieved success with your setup.

I have given up after months of anguish on this.  I can make it work
for short periods of time.  But most of the time I can get one box and
sometimes neither of my boxes to work.

I have used your script from the wiki.  It often gets the boxes to
work.  But later they stop.  I have tried every combination of
settings, including those you list.

For now, I give up!

Since everything works great with a single box on my backend, I am
converting a frontend to a front/backend combo and moving the second
box there.

I wanted all of the cable boxes in the closet with the server.  Maybe
after everyone else becomes stable...
