I was just thinking of making a script that went through the directories
that contain my movies and shows and then made symbolic links of all the
video files into a certain directory.  Then mythtv could be pointed at
that directory and only see video files.  And of course have the script
check if the files are still there and remove the link if not.  I'ts
slightly more complicated than the first one I made so it might take me
a while.  But that idea would work.
