[mythtv-users] OT: HDTV TV's

I am looking for a HDTV and I am having some doubts about them.

I'd like it has 720p and 1080i (if it has 1080p, it'll be great)

The strange thing is that all the TV's I find (Plasma or LCD) only have 1024 x 768 resolutions... does it mean that they reduced 1920x1080 broadcasts to something near to 1024 x 768 ???

What about 720p ( 1280x720) ? Are they also reduced to something near to 1024 x 768 ??

Is it a regular behaviour?? Can I find a truly 1920x1080 ?? Or they are only theorical right now??
