Back toward the tail-end of the 0.18 days my system stopped recording
because it couldn't update the scheduling database for some reason. I
didn't bother to fix it until 0.19 was released more than 2 months
later because I already had more recordings than I could watch. I
happily watched and deleted programs that I had previously recorded
until I felt it was time to upgrade to 0.19.

Sure, I missed recording a few shows during those 2 1/2 months, but
so what? Most have been aired again since, there's always something
else, and frankly I find very little worth keeping after I've watched
it.
