[mythtv-users] List of known-good FX5200 cards?

I'm currently running my myth be/fe on an eVGA with nvidia 6200 chip. I've had
many more issues with playback on this card than I did with my Mad Dog
Multimedia with nvidia 5200 chip. CPU use is through the roof on the 6200,
whereas the 5200 is what I'd expect (50-60% at most for HD playback including
bob deinterlacing).

The only problem with going back to my FX5200 is that it has a problem with XV
scaling. Using the default XV port, when scaling down to 800x600 (native
resolution of my projector), sometimes when the stream is 1080i with a "boxed"
480 image in the middle, the picture gets shifted to the right on the screen,
not properly scaled, and the "box" of 480 video is cut off. I have a number of
example streams saved to test with, and from my experience, it only happens on
two specific channels in my area - the others that do the same thing for
commercials and 480 transmitted in a 1080i stream all scale and play perfectly.

I can solve this problem by hacking videoout_xv.cpp to accept an environment
variable for the XV port, and starting the fe with the blitter port for XV.
However, I end up with "warbly" playback at times when viewing 1080i with Bob.
It looks to me like the image is not fully updated before display, like the
blitter is not capable of keeping up with 60fps and that large of a scale
(1920x1080 -> 800x600).

I'm curious if anyone has a "known good" list for FX5200 cards I could use to
source a replacement for the Mad Dog Multimedia card that will not require the
blitter hack and keep up with 1080i, displaying it properly when it contains a
480 boxed picture in the cnter?

Thanks!
