[mythtv-users] DVB subtitles not shown

Hi,

I seem to have strange problems with DVB subtitling. If I start viewing 
the show when it has already started (live TV) and subtitles are already 
active in the stream they are shown without any problems. However, if I 
start viewing the show a few minutes before the start of subtitled stream, 
the subtitles are not shown even after the show starts. The substitle 
selection is not available in menu. I'll get subtitle menus and subtitles 
if I switch to some other channel and immediately back to the original 
channel.

The problem is annoying but avoidable with live TV but with recordings it 
is quite more severe. If the recording starts before the show (as is 
usually the case when a few minute's margin is used) I have not found a 
way to activate subtitling; subtitle selection is simply not available in 
the menu. If the recording starts from middle of show, subtitles are again 
shown without problems.

I am using latest version from 0.19 fixes branch. I have two Hauppauge 
DVB-T cards (cx2388x and saa7146 chipsets), both having the same problem. 
Channels I have had problems with are Finnish Yleisradio's; i.e. all those 
that use DVB subtitles in Finnish DVB-T network.

I did not find these kind of problems mentioned anywhere. Has anyone else 
encountered the abovementioned problem or am I alone with this issue?
