I think you may get yourself in trouble if you start mixing packages
from two different third-party repositories (Livna and ATrpms). I'd pick
one to get the nvidia stuff and get it all from the same place.

To end your kernel confusion, type "uname -r" and see what you are
actually running. At least from ATrpms, you do have to specify. I use a
command like

# yum install nvidia-graphics8756-kmdl-`uname -r`

to make sure I get the right one for the kernel I'm running (that works
for ATrpms).
