I have not seen the output of a PVR 350 but I am patiently waiting for
a great deal on one. Are you using a ModeLine with "interlace" in it?
I am going to document my MythTV setup in more depth and perhaps I can
take some photos of the screen to illustrate the scan line issue.
Perhaps it is particular to my TV (Phillips 27" SD) or video card
(Geforce 4 MX).

Are you using DVI now? Or perhaps a PVR 350? In any case, what is the
quality difference like using your current method?

On a side note, while I'm experienced with Linux, interlacing and the
other subtleties of using a PC as a multimedia device are rather new
to me.
