AMICUS targets generic i386/i486 compatible hardware.
It does compile some components like the ivtv drivers
with the only the default options. AMICUS is designed
to not be i686 dependent. If your hardware can run a
basic Debian install then AMICUS has a good chance of
working for you.

The comment earlier is correct. AMICUS is specifically
designed to install on low resource, low end, and
reused older PCs.
