There is an EPIA-specific linux release called epiOS
(http://www.epios.net).  I loaded that up, built mythtv from source
(after loading subversion) and had myth working with XvMC in almost no
time at all on a m/b extremely close to an M10000.  You might want to
give that a whirl.
