[mythtv-users] Remote frontend not updating recording status

Hi,

I appear to have an odd problem here. I'm running a remote (0.19)
frontend from a backend system. On the backend system if I try to record
a program by pressing R in the program finder, it all works as it
should.

However if I try the same from the remote frontend, the OSD doesn't
report any change in status. 

Checking the backend shows the change has been made as it should have
been.

Further oddness:
- Restarting the frontend still shows the program as not recording

The only thing I can think could be contributing is that the frontend is
running on a read only rooted system (with the relevant bits
read-write). 

Anyone got any suggestions?
