[mythtv-users] Watch TV - Then nothing

I've had this problem for a while, but figured I should get all the capture cards in my system working and tested outside of mythtv so that I can make sure the hardware works, is installed correctly, has correct firmware, and the mythtv user can access it.

Now that all that is done I've run through the mythsetup and configured my pvr500 to to have two capture cards. video device is /dev/video0 or 1 and Default input is tuner.

video source is called zap2it and have the channel frequency table set to us-cable (NOT us-cable-hrc? what is the difference?)

Under input connections I have:
[ MPEG : /dev/video0 ] (Tuner) -> zap2it
[ MPEG : /dev/video0 ] (Composite 0) -> (None)
[ MPEG : /dev/video0 ] (Composite 1) -> (None)
[ MPEG : /dev/video0 ] (S-Video 0) -> (None)
[ MPEG : /dev/video0 ] (S-Video 1) -> (None)
[ MPEG : /dev/video1 ] (Tuner) -> zap2it
[ MPEG : /dev/video1 ] (Composite 0) -> (None)
[ MPEG : /dev/video1 ] (Composite 1) -> (None)
[ MPEG : /dev/video1 ] (S-Video 0) -> (None)
[ MPEG : /dev/video1 ] (S-Video 1) -> (None)

Under both tuners I've scanned for channels and it has found 2-78, 95-99, and 116

I can run ivtv-tune --channel=2 -d/dev/video0; cat /dev/video0 | mplayer -
this works great on both tuners

I might have the same problem with xawtv as myth becuase I get no video with xawtv. When I start it up via the following command:
xawtv -device /dev/video0
I get this output:
This is xawtv-3.95, running on Linux/x86_64 (2.6.15-1.1833_FC4)
/dev/video0 [v4l2]: no overlay support
v4l-conf had some trouble, trying to continue anyway
Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-ledfixed-medium-r-*--39-*-*-*-c-*-*-*" to type FontStruct

Looking a past threads it looks to be a audio problem. I ran /sbin/fuser -v /dev/dsp
and recieved no hits. Some of those threads point to an old link in the mythtv docs. The updated one is this (I think) http://www.mythtv.org/docs/mythtv-HOWTO-22.html#ss22.5 which is why I tried to run xawtv and why I'm including the fuser output.

Other odds and ends that may help:
mythbackend --version
0.19.20051104-1
Options compiled in:
 linux debug using_v4l using_oss using_ivtv using_dbox2 using_joystick_menu using_x11 using_xv using_xrandr using_frontend using_backend

uname -r
2.6.15-1.1833_FC4

AMD64 3200 system
NVidia video card. Using a standard monitor to get everything working before I move to the TV.

Thanks for all the help,

jb
