Thanks for your help Endaf. That fixed that right up. I put the load
command for the IR in rc.local and the xset command in my myth-load.sh
script. Works like a charm.

Last issue is the remote isn't working properly. I read through the
readme and it talks about turning on the log verbosity for the remote
so you can see the kernel messages on keypresses for the remote. I
tried turning on the log but I can't seem to get the module to insert
with the verbose statement.

I have the hauppauge remote with the four coloured buttons around the
middle scroll keys. The OK and EXIT keys don't work, and they are most
important to usability for the remote. The up and down and right and
left work fine as well as the numbers. I tried searching on google for
an updated keymap list but I can't seem to find one for my remote. Any
idea on where to look or how to insmod the module with the log
verbosity on so I can create a new one?
