[mythtv-users] video shift switching from livetv/guide

I have a bit of an annoying problem which I haven't really seen anyone
else complain about.

I have my gui configured to use just the onscreen area (have some overscan
going on), but I use full screen for the tv out (disabled the checkbox
that says "use gui size for tv playback").  I have to do this for optimum
output quality (I am using a pvr350 for output and I don't want to scale
anything).

When I go from full screen tv to showing the guide, the tv shifts a bit
before  the guide comes up and after the guide goes away.

It was really easy to see exactly what was going on when I tried using
vnc, because it made it go really slow.  If I was in the live tv guide and
exited out, I could clearly see that the live tv window was drawn using
the gui size for only a short moment, then it was repainted using the full
screen mode.

Has anyone found a way around this (other than using "use gui size for tv
playback" or setting all the gui size parameters to 0), or is this just a
bug that I should report?
